
ABOUT US
The Chalet Kitchen is led by Sam and Molly, who have over three decades of hospitality experience and a whopping 20+ seasons between them.
The course was born during conversations we had during pre-season preparation in November 2024. Whilst delivering training sessions for a leading chalet company, we talked about what we would include if we were to create a foundational chalet host course.
The holistic approach of including sessions on hosting, cleaning and presentation, alongside the skill based cooking sessions melded perfectly. How great would it be to make sure we were talking about using every part of an ingredient rather than just one element, to infuse sustainability as an attitude rather than an add-on?
We found it hard to disagree with a friend's comment; "you'd be mad not to do this!"

SAM
Sam, originally from Aotearoa-New Zealand, has called the Alps home for over a decade. He has a wealth of experience cheffing in restaurants, private chalets, villas, and yachts. Sam also develops menus for chalet companies and has a strong background in training chalet hosts. For Sam, cooking is all about having fun. He’s passionate about creating dishes from all corners of the globe, always prioritising fresh, high-quality ingredients.
MOLLY
With a rich background in international hospitality, Molly brings a wealth of experience from the world of cocktail bars, restaurants, and chalet management. During the winter, she works as a chalet manager, where she blends her love of the mountains and hospitality. Molly is happiest when she’s in the kitchen, cooking for family and friends.
